Los Cuatro Vientos is a traditional Mexican quartet composed of highly accomplished musicians in the Mariachi style, based in Phoenix/Tucson, Arizona. This unique ensemble consisting of two violins, guitar and folk harp, offers its audience the original Mariachi sound—as it was heard over 150 years ago—while including in its repertoire, songs that have become standards in the American musical scene.

Although this group was recently formed, its members have been playing well over ten years together and have developed a tight camaraderie which reflects in their music and performance. Los Cuatro Vientos has already captivated the attention of many prominent artists in the ranchera genre and is proud of its ability to fuse a unique blend of Mexican and American musical cultures to create a sound unlike any other.

The group is also pleased to present its debut album entitled Lamento Desaparecido in which two of the songs included are originals written by Los Cuatro Vientos' members J. Javier Enríquez and Juan G. Aguilar. "El Corrido de Pat Tillman" and "Lamento Desaparecido" borrow from centuries-old musical traditions from Mexico to address current issues occurring in the United States.

This vibrant and professional ensemble is honored to be on the forefront of a new and innovative revival of the classic mariachi sound and takes pride in its preservation of traditional Mexican ranchera music.

Experiencing a Los Cuatro Vientos performance is sure to blow you away!

Los Cuatro Vientos has been nominated for the Tammies Awards, which recognizes Tucson-area musicians and bands! Please help us out by going to www.tammies.com and voting for Los Cuatro Vientos in the Mariachi section.  Remember:  You don't have to be from Tucson to vote!

Any help is much appreciated!
